Linzi’s passion is to reach beyond traditional music lessons and equip all students of any age or ability to shine through music.
Linzi competed in bands, choirs, voice, piano, and theory events, and completed through level 9 MTNA before proceeding to university studies. Her Music, Biology, and Psychology foundations from Seattle Pacific University & Southern Oregon University, along with her volunteer work around the globe, are demonstrated throughout her instruction. She has taught Sunday-School classes, VBS, conducted choirs, led worship teams, worked alongside a music therapist, taught musical theatre, group lessons, and private lessons. She has had the privilege of working with beginning to advanced students from age 4 through adulthood, including students with physical handicaps, emotional and behavioral challenges, and developmental delays.
Music has personally helped Linzi communicate through language barriers overseas, overcome traumatic brain injuries and learning disabilities, and helped her heal physical & emotional trauma. She enjoys helping students regulate & express emotions, increase motor functions, and empower creativity through the use of music. She has seen music help with students’ discipline in home and school, anxiety, attention, mood, focus, behavior and emotional challenges, and with left/right brain integration.
Teaching brings Linzi great joy! May you find joy in your musical journey too!
